Denise B. Barrows, CPA, CFP
Denise is a 1981 graduate of West Chester State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, in 1984 she earned her CPA certification, and in 1987 earned the Certified Financial Planner designation. Denise has over 25 years of experience working with businesses and individuals to assist them with tax savings, accounting needs, and financial planning. Her expertise in these specific areas has been developed over years of assisting clients directly. Denise finds personal satisfaction in offering clients the best service by staying up to date with current tax laws, maintaining continuing education for CPA licensing, CFP licensing, and her insurance and securities licenses.
Community Affiliations
Among her contributions in the community, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Chambersburg Hospital and the James Buchanan Athletic Boosters Association. She is a founding member and the past Treasurer of the Storks Store, past District Director and past local President of the Chambersburg Business and Professional Women’s Club and has served on the board of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

Diane R. Sollenberger, CPA, CIA
Diane is a 1990 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, in 1992 she earned her Certified Internal Auditor designation, 1997 earned her CPA certification, She is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Diane has been employed in the financial services industry since 1987. After working in bank auditing for over six years, she transferred her skills and experience to public accounting. Her areas of interest are small business and estates. She takes special pride in empowering companies with the ability to see where they are now and where they want to go, complemented by the experience to guide them on how to get there.
Community Affiliations
She is active in and provides support to McConnellsburg Lutheran Parish, Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, St. Thomas Elementary PTA, Franklin Co. Public Safety Training Board, while also participating in the Williamson Ruritan Club.

Elizabeth Weimer, Wealth Management Assistant
Beth joined Barrows Wealth Management in July 2001. She is a professional, knowledgeable and dependable part of Barrows Wealth Management. Beth has held a Federal and State securities license since May 2002. Prior to joining the Barrows Wealth Management team Beth worked over 20 years for a Fortune 300 Company in client relations management. Her dedication to high quality, independent service, and a demonstrated penchant for turning client problems into opportunities through meaningful, practical solutions make her an integral part of Barrows Wealth Management.

Lynne Smith, Payroll Administrator
Lynne joined the firm in May 2005. Her primary responsibility is to streamline the payroll processing duties for large and small companies. She has over 25 years of experience working in public accounting. Time management is her greatest trait which has allowed her to integrate several other opportunities to her job description such as tax return processing, sales tax preparation, marketing for our clients, and client appreciation events, which keeps things busy and exciting for her. She is leading the charge in helping the firm reduce it’s ecological footprint.

Amy Hock, Administrative Assistant
Amy joined the firm in November 2009. Amy comes to us with over 24 years of administrative service within the Franklin County government. She works part-time on various administrative duties and helps cover the front desk. She enjoys working her part-time schedule which allows extra time with her family.

Lisa Kalist, CPA, Senior Accountant
Lisa is a 1994 graduate of Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and in 1998 earned her CPA certification. Her experience includes providing tax and accounting advice to various individuals and businesses including construction, manufacturing, professional services, nonprofit, and real estate development companies. Prior to joining the Barrows Sollenberger Group team in January 2011, Lisa worked 9 years for a large Michigan CPA firm. Lisa and her husband moved to Pennsylvania in 2003, where she took a short hiatus to start a family. We are happy to have her as a trusted member of our firm.

Kathy Baker, Accountant Assistant
Kathy joined the firm in August 2011. She brings over 25 years experience working for several large banking institutions where her primary focus was analysis of credit quality, compliance, and documentation policies. In recent years she has thrived in the area of investment services administration and support. Kathy works part-time performing various accounting related services. For the past 10 years she has been a certified Jazzercise instructor and local business owner. We look forward to utilizing Kathy’s varied business and financial experience to serve our client needs.
